Light Through Time: The Stained Glass Revival at St. James

Journey with us as we breathe new life into history, preserving the radiant stained glass windows that have lit up St. James for generations.

Road Closures This Sunday!

Melrose Avenue will be closed between Fairfax Avenue and Vermont Avenue this Sunday for CicLAVia.

Girl Scout Cookies

Since Sundays are not a part of Lent, it’s the perfect day to buy some Girl Scout cookies in the courtyard. They will be for sale after the 8:00AM and the 10:30AM services.

Cards for Kate+

Please remember to bring in your condolence cards for Kate+ this Sunday. We plan to bundle them up and get them over to her so she can feel our love as she mourns the loss of her mother.

Path of Miracles Concert & Adullam House Fundraiser Dinner

On Sunday, April 14 at 4:15PM, St. James’ will be hosting a performance of Path of Miracles, an extended choral composition by Joby Talbot. Then, after the concert, we will be having a fundraiser dinner with guest of honor the Rt. Rev. John Harvey Taylor. Proceeds will help fund the incredible work that Fr. Kim does: providing shelter, food, supervision, and care to elderly Koreans in the heart of Koreatown. Tickets for the dinner may be purchased below (as always, the concert is free).

Thinking About the Cross

The Cross is one of the greatest mysteries of our faith. It is the junction of so many emotions: pain and joy, desolation and hope. Join Bishop Frank and Father Jon this Lent as they examine the many facets of the Cross using Sam Wells’s book Hanging by a Thread: The Questions of the Cross. Classes continue this Wednesday at 7PM via Zoom.

Hope in Uncertain Times

On Saturday, March 16 from 9AM – 4PM, join with the women of St. James in a day of prayer, reflection, and sharing, led by our Fr. Jon Feuss at the beautiful Holy Spirit Retreat Center in Encino. Register here. Cost is $80, and lunch is provided. Contact Holly Holyk (gaah@att.net, 323-697-6122), Ingrid Finley-Scott (ingrids45@icloud.com, 818-314-5971), or SaraJane Thies (sjthies1503@gmail.com, 323-273-6745) for questions or to arrange carpools.
